Cars appraisal

When evaluating a car, an examination of the technical condition of the vehicle is carried out, on the basis of which the market value of your car is determined.

Every private owner sooner or later faces the need to conduct a professional assessment of his car. According to the degree of complexity, situations can be very different, these are:

  • division of property in case of divorce of spouses;
  • division of property in inheritance between heirs;
  • in the case of donation to determine the tax on property transferred in the order of donation;
  • for the purposes of purchase/sale, donation, inheritance;
  • for insurance;
  • for collateral when receiving a loan;
  • to add its value to the authorized capital;
  • to determine the customs value;
  • for the purposes of write-off, disposal;
  • putting on balance, debiting from balance;
  • division of property (for the court).

An independent appraiser is also engaged by legal entities to assess the cost of vehicles when it is necessary to determine:

  • the price of the sale or rental of individual vehicles;
  • the starting price for auctions, for the purpose of privatization or transfer to trust management;
  • cost when using the car as collateral;
  • collateral value for obtaining a loan;
  • for the formation of the authorized capital;
  • the company’s development strategy to determine the level of technical support for production and identify opportunities to replace or modernize an outdated fleet.

For the bank, it is possible evaluation of the liquidation value of the car. This cost is lower than the market value, since it is assumed that the Object of evaluation will be realized in a shorter time.

It is quite difficult to solve the price issue on your own, without making mistakes that lie in wait at every step. It is much easier to contact a professional appraiser who, for an appropriate fee, will evaluate the car and indicate in detail what and how influenced the formation of the cost. The cost of the appraiser’s work will be significantly less than the material and moral losses that are inevitable when self-evaluating a car.

From the theoretical side: the basis of any methods for evaluating a car is the calculation and correction of prices depending on the main price-forming factors, such as the year of manufacture, initial cost, mileage and technical condition of the car.
